Following HuttoFlow from Approval to Operation
This is the living record of HuttoFlow's progress — from the unanimous City Council vote on April 2, 2026, through engineering, permitting, construction, and into full operation. Every milestone gets documented here as it happens.
Updates are posted as milestones are reached, not on a fixed calendar schedule.
Latest Update
Engineering Specifications Underway — Endorsing Firm Opportunity Open
Most Recent — May 2026 — Engineering
With council approval secured, the project team has moved directly into developing the full engineering specifications for HuttoFlow's Phase 0 pilot system — the 20,000 GPD installation at the triangle site adjacent to Hutto's existing wastewater treatment plant.
As part of that process, the project is actively seeking a qualified engineering firm to serve as the endorsing engineer. This is a rare opportunity to attach a firm's name to a first-of-its-kind municipal water recovery project with statewide implications — one that has already cleared unanimous city council approval and has regulatory engagement with TCEQ and the Brazos River Authority underway.
Firms interested in the endorsing engineer role are encouraged to reach out directly. Investor close discussions are also active — parties interested in the investment opportunity should contact us now to engage ahead of the formal close process.
